Beach Hunter now estimates high/low water, tide direction and tidal range automatically from Open-Meteo sea-level data. No manual tide entry is required.

How v4 scoring works: beach history/modern loss potential is combined with direction-weighted wind, wave height/period, swell, rain/storm proxy and the automatic tidal range. The 48-hour forecast also favours the falling-tide window approaching low water, when more beach is exposed. GO ≥70, AMBER 45–69, NO-GO <45. Scores indicate opportunity, not guaranteed finds.

Weather, wave and modelled sea-level data: Open-Meteo public forecast endpoints. Automatic tide timing is an opportunity indicator only: the sea-level model is coarse near the coast and is not navigation-grade. Always verify safe access and tide escape routes before travelling. Visible erosion, webcams and actual beach cuts are not automatically verified.
